BANGOR – Auburn Suburban completed an unbeaten tourney in defeating Bucksport 7-3 Tuesday to claim the State Little League Senior Division championship.

Brady Blackman hurled a nifty 5-hitter while striking out 9. Auburn led 2-0 in the third when Bucksport took the lead on a bases-loaded triple by Louden Jellison.

But Suburban regained the lead for good in the fourth on RBI hits by Tommy Hart and John Alexander.

Suburban now advances to the East Regionals against Pennsylvania on August 6 at 2 p.m. at West Deptford, N.J.

Softballers lose

BIDDEFORD – Auburn Suburban dropped a 16-1 decision to Biddeford Tuesday in the finals of the State Little League Senior Softball Division Tournament.
