WILTON – The 57th Beedy reunion for the descendants of Aaron and Violette Dunham Beedy will be held from 10:30 a.m. to park closing on Sunday, Aug. 22, at Kineowatha Park.

The theme chosen for this year is “Western and American Native.” Family members are invited to dress accordingly. There will be a prize for the best costume.

The Kingfield food committee includes Irene, Terry and Hunter Corson and Cara Smith. Everyone should plan to bring a dish to share for the potluck lunch at noon.

The auction will be conducted after lunch, and the items that have been the best-sellers in the past are plants and homemade items such as crafts, food, canned items, jellies, relishes and cookies. Attic treasures are also popular. Anyone wishing to share talents is welcome to come prepared to entertain.

Items of interest are also needed to continue the family scrapbook. Family members are asked to bring new photos of recent family members, newlyweds, photos and news clippings.

The 2004 slate of officers includes: president, Clarence Gordon of Livermore; vice president, Cara Smith of Kingfield; secretary, Carol Lanier of Turner; treasurer, Adelia Meyer of Solon; and historian, Paula Enman of North Jay.

There is a playground for children, but families are welcome to bring lawn chairs, horseshoes, volleyball, basketball, swimming gear and a favorite food to share.
