Dear Sun Spots: I love to read your column every day.

I am hoping you can help me.

The rocking chairs they have at the lab at 12 High St., Lewiston, are so nice and high. I would like to know where they get them. I have to have chairs that are high so I can get out of them without help. – No Name, No Town.

Dear Sun Spots: I’m hoping you can give me a few names of those who might buy household items.

We are moving and have been selling everything that we can, but hoping there is someone out there who will come into our home and buy the rest. Thank you. – No Name, Lewiston.

Answer: You don’t specify what kind of items you are selling. However, in addition to responses from readers, you should contact the following to see if they can assist you:

Dear Sun Spots: For the lady looking for double pointed knitting needles (request from Elizabeth Lane, Peru, in Aug. 2 column): I went to Wal-Mart in Oxford. I knit mittens a lot for needy children so I use the double-pointed needles. I got size 7. I’m sure they have others.

In addition, if anyone has yarn they would like to give away, I’d be only too glad to take it. Please call Francis Bixly, (207) 966-3073. – Francis Bixly, Hebron.

Dear Sun Spots: I am trying to find a solid (no plastic parts) clarinet in good working order for my child who has been playing for five-plus years for an extremely reasonable price. My child’s clarinet cracked. We had it repaired, but it did not hold. We cannot afford to purchase a new one. I am hoping that someone out there has a solid, working, clarinet packed away, collecting dust that could be playing sweet music via my child. If you do, please contact me at 627-7745. – M.A.C., Otisfield.
