SKOWHEGAN – Roland L. Poulin, 83, of Skowhegan, passed away Monday, Aug. 9, at Cedar Ridge Nursing Care Center.
Born June 14, 1921, at St. Cecile, Quebec, he was the son of Edouard and Marie (St. Pierre) Poulin.
He worked at a variety of jobs including lumber yard work, delivering bread and baked goods, delivering mail for the postal service in Canada, and was also a lumberjack. For the last 20 years he worked for Forster Manufacturing in Stratton.
He loved being around his grandchildren, enjoyed tinkering, walking and visiting relatives in Canada.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, the former Theresa Mathieu of Skowhegan; a daughter, Micheline Pinkham and husband, Ausba, of Selma, Texas; four sons, Claude Poulin, of Reidsville, Ga., Roger Poulin and Marc Poulin, both of Skowhegan and Yves Poulin and wife, Dennise, of Hudson; and four sisters, Laura LaFlame, Gertrude Rodrigue, Noella Boisvert and Fernande Duquette, all of Canada.
He was predeceased by 10 brothers and sisters.
