LEWISTON – Robert J. Beaule, 92, of 350 Pond Rd., Lewiston died Saturday Aug. 14, at D’Youville Pavilion. His thirst for knowledge kept him very active until his recent illness.

He was born in Lewiston, Oct. 13, 1911, the son of David and Alice (Bilodeau) Beaule and had been a resident of this community all of his life.

He had received his education in local schools.

Robert served proudly in the South Pacific during World War II. He then returned to his privately owned business repairing televisions.

He was a member of Holy Family Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.

He is survived by four brothers, Roger Beaule and his wife, Rolande, Bertrand Beaule, Leo Beaule and his wife, Eglantine, Gerard Beaule and his wife, Gilberte, all of Lewiston; two sisters, Clotilde Rioux and her husband, Benoit, and Jeannette Chandonnet and her husband, Richard, all of Lewiston; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Ralph Beaule, and four sisters, Mrs. Fleurange Grenier, Mrs. Therese Galipeau, Mrs. Odile Cyr, and Mrs. Irene Longchamps.
