PORTLAND – Samuel Karlin of Portland passed away on Friday, Aug. 13, after a short illness. He was a graduate of Portland High School, class of 1942, and was in the U. S. Army during World War ll.
He leaves one son, Stanley Karlin, of Worcester, Mass.; two granddaughters, Eve and Jamie Karlin; two sisters, Shirley Goodman, of Auburn and Ruth Finn, of Portland.
He was predeceased by his wife, Edith, two brothers and one sister.
