PARIS – The Oxford Hills Rotary Club invites the public to its annual lobster and clambake from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. The event will be held under the tents, rain or shine.

There will be lobsters, steamers, corn, fries, soda and watermelon. Tickets are $13 in advance, $15 at the event. Take-out meals are available. For more information or tickets, call Patty Rice at 743-7777, Jon Kendrick at 744-0224 or any Rotary members.

All proceeds benefit the Oxford Hills community. The Oxford Hills Rotary Club sponsors many community and international projects including Toys for Kids, Third-Grade Dictionary Program, ROTAPLAST, May Day Play Day, Mittens for Kids, top 10 students, Dollars for Scholars, holiday food baskets, nursing home visits, Special Olympics, Student of the Month and polio eradication.

The club is comprised of community members ranging from tradesmen to attorneys. The Rotary Club’s motto is “Service above Self.” This year marks Rotary International’s 100th anniversary, the Centennial Year with the year’s theme Celebrate Rotary.

The Rotary Club hosts the Kiwanis/Rotary Auction every year and also has a Moonbounce and tent rentals available for events. Proceeds from these also return to the community.
