LEWISTON – Justin M. Pettengill, 27, of Lewiston passed away Sunday, Aug. 22, at Central Maine Medical Center with his family by his side.

He was born in Lewiston Sept. 30, 1976, the son to Gregory Pettengill and Karen Berube. He was educated in Auburn schools and graduated from Edward Little High School with the class of 1995. He was engaged to be married to Kim Sloan of Lewiston. He owned and operated his own business in Turner. He also worked for many years at Auburn Motor Sales.

When he was a young boy he enjoyed the outdoors and loved to go to camp with his Bambi and Bumpy. He also loved hunting and fishing with Pepere. Among his interests were traveling across country touring with the “Grateful Dead” and later the band, “Phish.”

He also enjoyed snowmobiling, four-wheeling, dirt bike riding and playing pool with his dad. His family will always remember the family cruise they all took together and how much fun they all had. He also had a great love for his two dogs, Nahani and Jazzy, who were very special to him. He especially loved his traveling vacations with his fiance, Kim. He will be sadly missed, but always remembered as a loving and devoted fiance, son, brother, grandson and friend.

He is survived by the love of his life, his fiance, Kim Sloan, of Lewiston; his mother, Karen Berube and her partner, Denise Marcoux, of Auburn; his father, Gregory and his wife, Michelle Pettengill, of Lewiston; four sisters, Megan A. Pettengill and Ethan Chaffin, of Poland, Darcy C. Pettengill, of Auburn, Emily A. Paione, of Lewiston, and Carley R. Pettengill, of Lewiston; three brothers, Steven R. Webster Jr., of Auburn, Chris J. Webster, of Auburn, and Conner Pettengill, of Lewiston; his maternal grandparents, Maurice and Pauline St. Pierre, of Turner, and Jeanette Marcoux, of Auburn; his paternal grandparents, Rodney and his wife, Shirley F. Pettengill, of Leeds, and Joseph M. and his wife, Pauline Bourgoin, of Sabattus; a nephew, Trenton Pettengill, of Auburn; and many loving cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, and his fiance, Kim Sloan’s loving family. He was a wonderful caring person and he lived life to the fullest. He will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.
