LAS VEGAS – Mary Jane Cole Patterson, 66, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, after an illness of a few months.

Born in West Paris, Nov. 21, 1937, the daughter of Lorenzo and Mona Billings Cole, she attended West Paris schools and graduated from Gould Academy in 1955. She attended Katherine Gibbs secretarial school.

As a young girl, she was a gifted piano player. Later as an adult, she was a bridge enthusiast and became a life master.

She is survived by her husband, Roger, of Las Vegas; two sons, Brian, of West Palm Beach, Fla., and John, of Hardwick, Vt.; two daughters, Susan, of Alexandria, Va., and Marjorie, of Poland; four grandchildren, Mari Sue, Ryan and Ian, of Virginia, and Brittani, of Florida; one brother, Sherman and his wife, Edith, of Wyckoff, N.J., and Sebago; and a sister, Priscilla Durden and her husband, Walter, of Williamsburg, Va.

She was predeceased by one daughter, Katherine in 2001.
