PORTLAND – Several workshops by the Maine Association of Nonprofits are scheduled.
Getting on The Same Page: Board, Staff and Financials will be presented by Chris Amann from 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 31 at St. Mary’s hospital in Lewiston. Cost is $45 for members and $75 for non-members. The seminar will teach effective methods of conveying key financial information in ways that reinforce the board’s confidence in both the presenter and the organization’s ability to manage its finances.
Effective Presentations will be presented by Al Barthelman from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 14. at St. Mary’s hospital in Lewiston. The cost is $45 for members and $75 for nonmembers. Participants will leave with a template for organizing presentations in a way that ensures that the audience is hearing what the presenter wants them to.
Managing Multiple Priorities will be presented by Deborah Whitworth from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 15 at REM Center in Waterville. The cost is $45 for members and $75 for nonmembers. This seminar will use case studies and hands-on activities to show how to succeed in professional goals without stress.
Building Your Case for Support will be presented by Penny Harris from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 22 at Saco City Hall. The cost is $45 for members and $75 for nonmembers. Participants will be taught the ability to craft a clear and concise statement that helps potential donors and foundations understand why they should contribute to their organization.
