LEWISTON – Mignonne Rose Donovan, 88, of 103 Grove St., Lewiston, died Thursday evening, Aug. 26, at Central Maine Medical Center.

She was born in Lewiston on Oct. 2, 1915, a daughter of Alexander and Adele Charest Boulet. She was educated at Lewiston schools. She later married John D. Donovan on June 28, 1951. Mrs. Donovan raised two daughters and later worked for Bates College in the housekeeping department until her retirement in 1984. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, shopping, going out to eat, and taking car rides.

She is survived by her husband, of 53 years; daughters, Nancy Boilard and her husband, Daniel, of Lewiston, Rita Vincent and her husband, Leo, of Auburn; grandchildren, Gregory Vincent and his wife, Shannon, of Westbrook, Kevin Vincent and his wife, Sarah, of Topsham, Kim Vincent, of Auburn, Crystal

Lovering and her husband, Travis, of Litchfield, Michelle Winslow and her husband, Jerry, of Auburn; great-grandchildren, Cameron Winslow, Evan Lovering and Molly Vincent; a sister, Florence Obie, of Boca Raton, Fla.; sister-in-law, Sister Ann Mary Donovan, of Portland; brother-in-law, Joseph McGovern, of Auburn; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by sisters, Cecile, Jeannette, Juillette, and Clairette, and brothers, Robert, Alexander Jr., Conrad, and Adrian.
