LOWELL, Mass. (AP) – Two teenage brothers were shot to death in an apparent drive-by shooting late Thursday night, authorities said.

Moises Cotto, 19, and John Tejada, 13, were shot outside their home on Lincoln Street around 11 p.m. Thursday, said Emily LaGrassa, a spokeswoman for the Middlesex district attorney’s office.

Cotto was pronounced dead at the scene, police told The Sun of Lowell. Tejada was flown to Massachusetts General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead around 2 a.m. Friday.

Police were searching early Friday morning for a red Honda Civic with a broken rear window, which was reportedly seen fleeing the scene.
