BATH – The Chocolate Church Arts Center is presenting “Yesterday, A Tribute to the Beatles” at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10, and Saturday, Sept. 11.
“Yesterday” founder and manager Don Bellezzo is widely recognized as a John Lennon impersonator. Bellezzo of Las Vegas performs extensively in tributes to Lennon and to Don Everly.
Glenn McCallum as George Harrison contributes lead guitar and vocals.
An Australian native, McCallum entertains crowds with his prolific guitar playing and enthusiastic portrayals of Harrison and Buddy Holly.
Bobby Potter as Ringo Starr is on drums and vocals. Also from Las Vegas, Potter’s strength lies in exactly replicating the percussive flavors of songs in their originally recorded forms, while providing visual details characteristic of Ringo Starr.
British-born Kester Peters portrays Paul McCartney. Peters recently relocated to Las Vegas from New Zealand after a five-year career as Paul in “The Zeatles” – the New Zealand Beatles tribute show. In the world of Paul McCartney impersonators, Kester, a superb bass player and a natural “lefty,” also has sound-alike and look-alike qualities, from the unique McCartney mannerisms to the accurate Liverpudlian accent, according to the spokesman.
Tickets for “Yesterday, A Tribute to the Beatles” are $20 for members of the arts center, $22 for seniors, $23 in advance and $25 at the door.
Tickets may be purchased by calling The Chocolate Church Arts Center, 442-8455.
