FARMINGTON – Leslie A. Hawkins, FACHE, administrator for Pine Tree Medical Associates, has been recognized by the American College of Medical Practice Executives as earning the professional designation of certified medical practice executive.

The designation demonstrates that Hawkins has achieved board certification in medical practice management. ACMPE certifies an individual’s professional competence and advancement to CMPE after passing rigorous oral, essay, and objective examinations that assess knowledge and understanding of the broad scope of medical practice management.

Professionals who earn the designation of CMPE have demonstrated exceptional skill in financial management, human resources management, planning and marketing, and professional responsibility.

Hawkins has led Pine Tree Medical Associates, a Franklin Community Health Network hospital-based practice organization consisting of four practices and 15 physicians in Farmington, since 1999. She received her bachelor’s degree from Hood College in Maryland and later earned her master’s degree in health care administration from George Washington University. She is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, and is a member of their Nominating Committee representing New England, New York, and eastern Canada.
