LEWISTON – HealthSteps Adult Fitness Program at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center will offer Exercise for People with Arthritis this fall.

The course is designed for individuals with rheumatic disease who are limited by impaired joint motion and/or strength, and will provide participants with a safe program.

The class will help individuals relieve stiffness, restore or maintain joint range of motion, increase flexibility of the structures surrounding the joint, restore or maintain muscle strength, improve posture, balance and coordination and increase endurance.

HealthSteps will offer four programs on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Sept. 7 to Oct. 7, Oct. 11 to Nov. 11, Nov. 16 to Dec. 9 and Dec. 14 to Jan. 13 at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, Women’s Pavilion, Fleet Room.
