UNITY – Lewiston native Mark Tardif has been appointed associate director of college communications at Unity College, President David Glenn-Lewin announced.
Tardif will be responsible for college internal and external communications, public relations efforts and editing the Northeaster, the magazine of Unity College.
Most recently Tardif served as public relations officer at Thomas College of Waterville, a position he held from 1998 through May 2004.
While at Thomas, Tardif spearheaded efforts to publicize the college both regionally and nationally. In 2002, Tardif was a founder of Thomas, the magazine of Thomas College.
Prior to serving at Thomas, Tardif held various administrative, teaching, staff support, and coaching positions at Harvard University, Bates College, Northeastern University, St. Dominic Regional High School, Central Maine Community College and Southern Maine Community College. He is a graduate of St. Dominic Regional High School in Auburn.
He holds a bachelor of science degree in English from Northeastern University; a master of arts in teaching, English Education, from Boston University; and a master of science in computer technology education from Thomas College.
