TURNER – Turner Center Universalist Church reopened for the fall and winter session on Sunday, Sept. 12. It will hold services from 10 to 10:45 a.m. every Sunday. During the services, Sunday school is in session in the vestry.
Pastor Rick Viata gives the sermons. Dr. Larry Catlett is the music director and, along with the choir, presents outstanding music. In order to keep the church from closing, however, attendance must increase dramatically.
In the past three years a lot of repairs have been done to the building, and plans are in the making to install an elevator or lift for those who find it difficult to climb the stairs.
Some monies have been donated for the project through memories of loved ones, but much more is needed before the project can be completed.
