MEXICO – The Mexico Historical Society will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28, in the Calvin Lyons Room at the lower level of the Town Hall. There will be a hot dish supper before the monthly meeting.

The program of music by Henry Hodgkins will follow. All are welcome.

Chinese auction

DIXFIELD – The Dirigo Music Association will hold a Chinese auction and luncheon from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, at the Dirigo High School.

Items to win will include Portland Symphony tickets and signed photos of John Travolta and Kevin Eubanks from the Tonight Show. Monies raised will help support the SAD 21 music and arts programs.

Open house

ANDOVER – The Andover Historical Society will hold an open house on Sunday, Oct. 26, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the building.

The sesquicentennial book, which was in the capsule opened in June, will be on display. It contains the signatures of townspeople written in 1954. Refreshments will be served.
