LEWISTON – Motorists are being asked to avoid sections of Sabattus Street from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, and again on Monday, Oct. 4.

Paving is scheduled during those hours, and it may go later depending on delays or problems.

Detours are being posted and there will be closures and delays; some sections of the road will not be accessible at all.

Motorists are advised to avoid Sabattus Street at the intersections with Russell Street, Connector Road (Farwell Street) and Fairlawn Avenue, and near the entrance to the Maine Family Credit Union.
