LEWISTON – Bob Marley, a familiar face in Maine’s stand-up comedy scene, will perform Friday, Oct. 8, at Rock ‘N Robins, 855 Lisbon St. Marley, who will do two shows, at 7 and at 9 p.m., has just taped comedy segments for an upcoming VH-1 series, “Love Lounge,” and for a TV Land series, “Classic TV Land Moments.”
He will also do stand-up on a new variety show on the WB network, “Steve Harvey’s Big Time.” Marley also has appearances coming up on the “Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and the “Jimmy Kimmel Show.”
A Maine native and graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington, Marley uses biographical and observational material, much of it gleaned from his family and life in Maine. Named one of Variety’s “10 Comics to Watch,” Marley has also appeared in several films, including “Liar’s Club,” “Smoke and Mirrors” and “Back by Midnight.”
Marley will also appear Oct. 9 at the Camden Opera House; and Oct. 15 at the Atrium in Brunswick.
