RUMFORD – Orville “Sonny” Crawford, Union City, Ind., Fraternal Order of Eagles grand worthy president, will make an official visit to Rumford Aerie 1248 on Tuesday, Oct. 5.

Crawford joined the Eagles Union City Aerie in 1957.

Since then he has held all local offices except secretary and treasurer. He also held district and zone offices and became state president in 1992-93.

The following year he advanced to the national level and served as central regional president, then as Grand Aerie outside guard, grand worthy chaplain and four years as grand trustee.

Crawford and his wife, Sue, have five children and seven grandchildren. They will arrive at the Rumford Aerie at about 2 p.m.
