Dear Sun Spots: The Greene Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary will hold a blood drive at the Greene Fire Department on Saturday, Nov. 6, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. We need volunteers to make goodies for the donors and to help throughout the day.

The goal is to collect 50 pints of blood. Maine currently has only a one-day supply of blood on hand. Please consider giving “the gift of life.”

I have a photograph taken at the former Wallace School on Main Street in Lewiston. I don’t know the year it was taken, but I presume that the other members of my class would be about my age. I am 81 years old.
