LEWISTON – Susan Conroy, a native of South Portland, will be the guest speaker at the Holy Cross Seniors meeting at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17, at the church.

While attending Dartmouth College, Conroy had the opportunity to travel to Calcutta, India, and she will share her experiences while spending the summer volunteering in a children’s orphanage and the Home for Dying. Conroy worked with Mother Theresa and her missionaries of charity, caring for the most destitute.

With Mother Theresa’s permission, she wrote a book, “Mother Theresa’s Lessons of Love and Secrets of Sanctity,” published in 2003. She will have books for sale and will do a book signing for those interested. Refreshments and socializing will follow. All seniors, 50 years and over, are invited.
