AUBURN – People who want to see Elizabeth Edwards speak in town this morning don’t need tickets, the campaign announced Friday.

“You don’t have to have a ticket to go,” said campaign spokesman Jesse Derris.

“We want as many people who want to see Mrs. Edwards to see her. No one will be turned away,” Derris added.

Since Edwards is speaking at Wallingford’s orchard store and bakery on Perkins Ridge Road, the earlier people arrive, the better spot they’ll have, Derris said, because of parking availability. Gates open at 9:15 a.m. Edwards is expected to speak shortly after.

The event will offer free hot cider, apple dumplings and doughnuts.
