Given the Bush administration’s relentless campaign of deception, it’s understandable some people erroneously believe Saddam Hussein had a connection to Sept. 11 or al-Qaida.

In fact, Bush was wrong on every justification of his war on Iraq and completely incompetent in handling the aftermath. Iraq was separate from the war against al-Qaida. Bush blurred the two to deceive Americans into fighting an unnecessary war. Now we pay in lives and treasure while Bush-Cheney cronies reap billions in war profits.

Our troops are being misused by their own government while at home we are told dissent is unpatriotic. Anyone remember Vietnam? Our civil liberties, economy, our children’s future have been undermined by Bush as he has made the world less stable and America less safe.

We get insulting attacks from the Bush smear team about whether John Kerry’s combat wounds were severe enough. Anyone who supports our troops and veterans should be outraged that again the Bush people smear a decorated soldier. They did it to John McCain and triple amputee Max Cleland.

If we must rehash events of 30 years ago, how about this. Where was George Bush that he couldn’t bother to show up for a cushy stateside duty in National Guard slot he wasn’t entitled to? Why did he skip a physical, losing flight status, wasting the dollars taxpayers spent on training?

Better still, let’s discuss the failures, incompetence and impeachable deceptions of the Bush presidency. It is clear Bush should be thrown out of office.
