LISBON – The Friends of the Lisbon Libraries announce the annual holiday raffles. This year’s offerings include a Thanksgiving and a Christmas raffle.

Thanksgiving-in-a-Tote

The Friends are raffling an LL Bean tote filled with everything from soup to nuts for a turkey dinner, including the turkey. Raffle items have been donated by the Friends, storytime mothers and librarians. Tickets, $2 each or three for $5, are available at both libraries. The winner will be drawn on Friday, Nov. 19. Proceeds will go toward family program events, such as the special pre-holiday Friends-sponsored family evening in early December.

Mainly Maine Basket

The Friends will once again raffle a basket made by local weaver Sherri McKay. This year’s woven creation is in the shape of a large sleigh. The oversized basket will be filled with mostly Maine-made products and crafts.

Donated items for the basket, to be awarded on Saturday, Dec. 18, are still being accepted at either library. Tickets, $2 each or three for $5, are available at both libraries.
