CONCORD, N.H. (AP) – Another former Enterasys Networks, Inc. executive has been arrested and charged with fraud federal prosecutors in Concord said Monday.
Hor Chong Boey, 49, was arrested at an Atlanta airport last week and has been charged with four counts of securities fraud, five counts of wire fraud and a count of conspiracy.
Boey, a Malaysian national, was working at the company’s Singapore office when he took part in a scheme to falsely inflate the company’s reported revenue, prosecutors said.
No trial date has been scheduled. A hearing to decide whether Boey will be held until trial is set for Tuesday in Atlanta.
He could receive 10 years in prison for each of the securities fraud charges, and five years for each of the others if convicted. He is the seventh former executive to be publicly charged. Several top former executives have pleaded guilty in the investigation.
Enterasys was the chief spin-off of Cabletron Systems Inc., which Gov. Craig Benson co-founded before he was elected. He has not been named in any charges. Enterasys, now defunct, was based in Rochester.
