LEWISTON – A story concerning suspected counterfeit bills in Wednesday’s A section, which the newspaper thought had been confirmed through sources at City Hall and the Lewiston Police Department, contained several errors. The money presented to pay a tax bill in Lewiston amounted to $200 and was not counterfeit. The incident occurred on Monday, Nov. 15. The Sun Journal regrets the error.
