AUBURN – The Edward Little Playhouse will present “Once Upon a Mattress” at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Dec. 3 and 4, (snow date, Dec. 5, 2 p.m.) at the Great Falls Auditorium on Academy Street.

This version of the classic fairy tale, “The Princess and the Pea,” will keep the audience awake, despite the title. Tickets are $5 at the door.

Christmas party

LEWISTON – St. Patrick’s Church, Rosary Sodality and St. Vincent de Paul will join for a Christmas party on Tuesday, Dec. 7. A 6:30 p.m. recitation of the Rosary in the chapel will be followed by the party for sodalists and members of St. Vincent de Paul and their guests. Entertainment will be by Present Company.

Nicole Labonte, Rose Desrocher and the committee will serve coffee and refreshments. The evening will end with an exchange of gifts.

Breastfeeding

AUBURN – Expectant women and breastfeeding mothers are invited to a La Leche League meeting at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, at 102 Bennett Ave. Babies are welcome.

The meeting will include a discussion on “Breastfeeding, the Mother-Baby Relationship and the Weaning Process.” All concerns about breastfeeding are welcome for discussion.
