LIVERMORE FALLS – Police are investigating reports of stolen money, attempted break-ins and a vandalized holiday display.
Officer Brock Caton is investigating an attempted burglary at 12 Searles St. reported on Friday, said Chief Ernest N. Steward Jr.
Also, Officer Ken Bryant is looking into an attempted burglary at 3 Hillcrest Road, Steward said, where a side door was kicked in. It was reported Wednesday.
Patrolman Joe Sage caught up with three juveniles who vandalized Christmas tree lights at 83 Church St., Steward said. The lights had been moved at one point, Steward said, then cut in two places during a second incident.
Sage followed footsteps to a residence where he found three boys and the scissors police believe were used to cut the lights, Steward said.
After the officer talked to the boys and their parents, he had the three boys apologize to the woman for vandalizing her display, the chief said.
In other police matters:
• Officers are also working on a report Friday of juveniles taking two cartons of cigarettes from 15 Pine Ave.
• Patrolman Maurice Drouin is investigating possible tampering with a vehicle parked at 24 Richardson Ave., which he noticed while on patrol, Steward said.
