LIVERMORE – Charity Rebekah Lodge of Livermore Falls will meet Wednesday, Dec. 8, at the lodge’s hall at 284 Federal Road for its annual Christmas party. A potluck luncheon of Christmas goodies will begin the festivities at 12:30 p.m. Hilda Corkum and Mildred Wright are the hostesses. At 1:30 p.m., a business meeting will be followed by the party and an exchange of gifts.
Members are being reminded that the Christmas party for the residents of the Odd Fellows and Rebekahs’ Home in Auburn will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11.
Santa to stop in town Saturday
FARMINGTON – Santa is coming to downtown Farmington from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, at Mainestone Jewelry on Broadway. Luce Studio will offer professional photographs of Santa with the kids for $5 each. There will also be goodies and a live broadcast with WKTJ.
Holiday basket sign-up offered
WILTON – The Wilton Area Food Pantry will hold a sign-up day for people who qualify for a Christmas basket.
The sign-up will be 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, at the food pantry, which is in the Wilton United Methodist Church, 600 Main St. This is the only sign-up day planned. For more information, call 645-2190.
Dec. 14 program on water quality
JAY – A presentation on how local residents can help protect the water quality will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, in the Middle School cafeteria.
The program will feature a presentation by Jay High School students about the water quality data they have gathered, a student presentation on using local ponds as public water sources, and one by Susan Breau from Maine Rural Water on how homeowners can protect the water quality.
