AUBURN – Peru artist Carole Rickards’ work is on display at Central Maine Community College through December. Rickards, who has a degree in art from the University of Maine at Augusta, has studied with Oscar Legere, Ilene Kerr and Kay Seething. She has been commissioned to paint homes, pets, landscapes and still lifes.
Rickards has won purchase awards and peoples’ choice awards, and has had a painting published in Down East magazine. She teaches acrylic and watercolor painting.
The 14 works on display consist of prints and original paintings that capture birds and other scenes from nature, a theme that fascinates her.
The display is in Jalbert Hall at CMCC. Contact the reception desk, 755-5100, for the hours.
All of the works on display are for sale; Rickards may be contacted at 562-8627.
