RUMFORD – Ida M. Jolin, 73, died Friday, Dec. 17, in Rumford with family by her side. A lifelong resident of the area, she made her home on Hancock Street, Rumford.

She was born in Rumford on May 3, 1931, a daughter of Arthur and Anita (Poirier) Cormier, and had attended Mexico schools.

She was a Communicant of St. Athanasius-St. John Church; a member of the Napoleon Ouellette Post No. 24, American Legion Auxiliary; a member Greater Rumford Senior Citizens; and was a very active and Life Member of LeParesseux Snowshoe Club most of her life. She also was an avid Beano Player and loved to Crochet.

She was married in Mexico on Sept. 28, 1946 to the late Leo “Buster” Jolin, who died in Rumford on July 17, 1996.

Survivors include two sons; Leo Jolin Jr. and wife, Tammy, of Rumford, Paul Jolin of Stone Mountain, Ga.; three daughters, Jeanne Cole and husband, Arthur, Anita Murphy and husband, Maynard, and Theresa Stoklas, all of Rumford; a brother, Leo Cormier; and a sister-in-law, Rita Colburn, both of Dixfield; eight grandchildren, Michael Jenkins of Mexico, Keith Bickford and wife, Erika, Brian Bickford and wife, Robin, Maegin Jolin, Leo “Yogie” Jolin III, all of Rumford, Amy Alimandi and husband, Justin, of Berlin, N.H., Jason Jolin of Rumford, and Douglas Conant of Lewiston; four great-grandchildren, Karissa and Kylee Bickford and Ashleigh Milligan, all of Rumford, and Kelsey Alimandi of Berlin, N.H.
