AUBURN – Jacqueline A. Carr, 82, of 27 Lemont Ave., Lewiston died, on Friday, Jan. 7 at Clover Manor.

She was born in Lewiston, on April 14, 1922, the daughter of Redmond and Abigail Butler. After graduating from high school, she attended St. Mary’s School of Nursing, where she received her nursing degree. She then went to work for St. Mary’s Hospital as a registered nurse for over 30 years, until her retirement.

She was the widow of Sherman F. Carr, whom she missed very much since his death in June, of 1971.

She was also a member of St. Patrick’s Church.

She is survived by two sons, Stephen Carr and his wife, Terry, of Greene; David Carr and his wife, Nancy, of Lewiston; and their children, Heather Murphy and her husband, Robert, of Lewiston, and Amanda Gagnon and her husband, Staff Sergeant Nicholas Gagnon, of Mass.; great-grandchildren Jared and Lukas Murphy of Lewiston, and Cadence Gagnon of Mass.; and by her sister Sandra Carlin and her husband, Daniel, of Ohio.
