WILTON – The Rev. Doug Dunlap will speak on “Rural Poverty: A Way Out” at the monthly Wilton Community Forum Breakfast on Wednesday, Jan. 12, at the First Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, on Main Street. Doors will open at 6:30 a.m. for breakfast, with the speaking program to begin at 7 a.m.

The topic is a report of a national conference on grass-roots solutions to poverty in rural communities.

In December, Dunlap was one of four people from Maine and about 30 people from across America invited to a national institute in Santa Fe, N.M., sponsored by the Annie E. Casey Foundation, on the topic of rural poverty.

At this breakfast forum, Dunlap will speak about promising solutions to poverty that can be developed in local communities.

Breakfast features a buffet of hot and cold items. Admission is free. The public is welcome.
