JAY – A Jay man was arrested Tuesday on liquor-related charges after police responded to a report of a loud party at 4 Otis St.
It was discovered during an investigation that about nine underage people were present and many had consumed liquor, Jay Police Chief Larry White Sr. said.
Officer Troy Young charged Eric Gemelli, 20, with misdemeanor furnishing liquor to a minor and furnishing a place for minors to consume.
Young said he saw several youths who were underage when he investigated the complaint of a loud party at 9:45 p.m., White said.
Sgt. Charles Keene assisted Young in the investigation.
Gemelli was taken to Franklin County jail and posted $10,000 unsecured bail Wednesday, a jail employee said.
He is scheduled to appear on Feb. 23 in 12th District Court in Farmington.
