CARRABASSETT VALLEY – One lucky member of the audience will win a guitar autographed by every member of the band when Foghat plays at Sugarloaf/USA Saturday, Jan. 22.

The Bud Light Concert Series presentation will feature special guest Pushing Zero. Both will be on the main stage of Sugarloaf’s Base Lodge for their only concert event in Maine.

With dozens of hits like “Slow Ride” and “Fool for the City,” Foghat’s blues-influenced, guitar rock has drawn raves since the band’s first album was certified gold in 1975.

Te band is led by two of the band’s founders – bassist Tony Stevens and drummer Roger Earl – along with slide guitarist extraordinaire Bryan Bassett and vocalist/guitarist Charlie Huhn.

Few other artists embrace the rudimentary riffs and bluesy based structures of rock ‘n’ roll like Foghat, according to a spokesman for the series. In its three decades, Foghat has delivered accessible, meltdown boogie rock for the masses, yet retained credibility with their high-octane blues covers, according to the spokesman.

Tickets: $16.50 in advance; $19 day of show. Doors open at 8:30 p.m., with Pushing Zero taking the stage at 9. Concertgoers must be at least 21. FMI: log on to www.sugarloaf.com/foghat/; call guest services at 237-6939 to purchase tickets.
