NASHUA, N.H. – Bertrand L. Bourque, 71, a resident of Merrimack, N.H., and former longtime Dracut, Mass. resident, died Thursday, Jan. 13, at the Southern New Hampshire Regional Medical Center in Nashua, N.H.

Born in Lewiston on June 12, 1933, a son of the late Albert and Adrienne (Lacroix) Bourque, he received his education in Lewiston schools.

He was the husband of the late Patricia L. (Doyle) Bourque who died July 4, 2000.

Prior to his retirement, he had been employed as an Electrical Technician by the Raytheon Corp. in Andover, Mass.

After his retirement, he had been employed for several years as a Greeter by Wal-Mart in Concord, N.H. He had also been employed by American Optical in Bedford, Mass., earlier in his career.

In his free time, he enjoyed bowling, motorcycling, and was an avid Red Sox, Bruins and Patriots fan.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Andy and Susan Bourque of Dracut, Mass., and Albert and Dawn Bourque of Merrimack, N.H.; five grandchildren, Julia Bourque of Dracut, Mass., and Casey Bourque, Meghan Bourque, Cal Lezama, and Melissa Lezama, all of Merrimack, N.H.; a brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Annette Bourque of Orange City, Fla.; a sister, Rita Lapointe of Lewiston; two brothers-in-law, Thomas Doyle and his wife, Barbara, and Richard Doyle, all of Lewiston; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also the brother-in-law of the late Robert Lapointe.
