SOUTH PARIS – The wedding of Lori Lynn McLaughlin and James Michael Ventresca was held at 3 p.m. on August 14 at the First Universalist Church in South Paris. Shirley S. Miller, notary and friend, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Ventresca is the daughter of John and Charlene Parsons and Martin and Patricia McLaughlin of Norway. Mr. Ventresca is the son of James and Becky Ventresca of Pensacola, Fla. and Shirley Parsons of South Paris.

The bride was given in marriage by her father and stepfather. She wore a white floor-length gown with Empire waistline, chapel train and crystal and pearl beading on the bodice. A two-tier satin edged veil was supported by a tiara with pearls. She carried two dozen long-stemmed roses in champagne, creamy white and blush colors with green rascus and baby’s breath.

Julie Baither, long-time best friend, was matron of honor and bridesmaids were Deirdre Cameron, close friend of the bride, and Sarah Harvey, close friend of the couple. Delaney Baither, daughter of the matron of honor, was flower girl.

Serving as best man was Robert Federico, long-time friend of the bridegroom, and ushers were Shayne White, close friend of the bridegroom, and Paul Racine, college friend of the bridegroom. Colby Ventresca, son of the couple, was ring bearer.

A reception followed at the Norway Country Club. The couple is residing in Norway.

The bride is a graduate of Oxford Hills High School and Mid-State College. She is employed as assistant town clerk for the town of Paris.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Oxford Hills High School, Unity College and the Maine Criminal Justice Academy. He served in the U.S. Army for four years and is employed as a patrol officer for the Town of Norway.
