LEWISTON – Lewiston/Auburn Toastmasters Club 1741 will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, at the Bates Mill Complex, first-floor conference room, 35 Canal St.

VFW meeting

LISBON – VFW Post 9459 and Auxiliary will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, at the post home, Route 196. All members are encouraged to attend and new members are welcome. Agenda will include supporting the troops, future activities and fund-raising.

The House Committee will meet at 6 p.m. For more information, call 353-5291 and leave a message. The post has an ongoing commitment to send packages to the troops and has a list of 10 names.

The post is also sending items to Landstuhl Army Hospital and the Baghdad Field Hospital as requested by injured comrades or the doctors. A list is available at the post home. The post will accept letters and items, package and mail them.

Alumni meeting

LEWISTON – The CMGH-CMMC School of Nursing Alumni Association will hold its annual meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday Jan. 20, at the Arbor House, corner of Main and Hammond streets.

Jeri Mauer will give a tour. A business meeting will follow in conference room I at CMMC.
