LEWISTON – A celebration was held at the Elks Lodge in Lewiston on Aug. 28 for Albert and Rejeanne Sirois of Lewiston, on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary.

The party was hosted by their children, Marc and Janice, Paul and Kelly, David and Connie, Ronald and Susan, and Diane and husband, Arthur Chamberlain, as well as grandchildren David, Jessica and Taylor Chamberlain and Cody, Liza and Jade Sirois.

The Rev. Lionel Chouinard of Lisbon officiated the renewal of the couple’s marriage vows in front of relatives, friends and co-workers.

Marc Sirois gave a toast and brief history of the family growing up, while a slide show depicting those years, produced by Diane, was playing. She also decorated a beautiful multi-tiered wedding cake interlaced with five satellite cakes, representing each of the couple’s five children.

Grandson Eric Pomerleau was DJ at the festivities. The Roy and Sirois families, as well as many nieces, nephews and out-of-town guests also attended to wish the couple their best.

The couple was given many gifts, presentations and good wishes.
