AUBURN — Abby Gilbert poured in a game high 20 points to lead St. Dom’s to a 62-43 victory over Poland in girls’ varsity basketball action Tuesday.
The game was tied heading into the second half, but St. Dom’s pulled away by outscoring Poland 20-12 in the third quarter.
Malley O’Shea and Emily Goss contributed 10 and nine points for the Saints (7-4).
Page Piper and Abby Perkins had 10 points each for the Knights (0-12) in the losing effort.
Buckfield 41, NYA 31
BUCKFIELD — Alyssa Henderson notched 13 points to lead Buckfield to a 41-31 victory over North Yarmouth in girls’ varsity basketball action Tuesday.
The Bucks (5-9) built a 12-point lead in the first quarter and never trailed.
Rangeley 53, Gr. Portland Chr. 19
PORTLAND – Ashley Quimby tallied 12 points to lead unbeaten Rangeley to a one-sided 53-19 triumph over Greater Portland Christian Academy.
The Lakers (12-0) jumped out to a 34-13 lead by halftime. Rosie LaPointe and Krysteen Romero added 11 and 10 points, respectively, effectively putting the game out of reach.
Kasey Eastwood scored 10 points in the loss for the hosts (9-4).
MCI 69, Oak Hill 51
WALES – Jenna Lorentson netted 13 points Tuesday to pace MCI to a 69-51 win over Oak Hill. MCI held a 43-31 lead at the half, then went on a 19-7 run in the third quarter to seal the victory.
Ashley Carrier and Mackey Sullivan chipped in for the Huskies with 12 points apiece, while Kylie Huff added 10.
Amber Chapman led the Raiders with a game-high 23 points, while Kristen Eaton added nine.
