RUMFORD – Thelma Kilbreth, of Mustard Seed Ministries in Mechanic Falls, will present a concert for a community union service at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6, at the First Baptist Church, 112 Washington St.
Kilbreth has presented concerts in New England and across the country that minister to people of all ages and walks of life. She presents a concert consisting mostly of original music and accompanies herself on her electronic keyboard or acoustic guitar.
All are invited to attend the special concert and time of fellowship following.
Quilting class
CANTON – A quilting class on curved piecing, hearts on a string or flowers to make a wall or lap quilt, will be held from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Thursdays for 10 weeks beginning March 3 at the Canton Elementary School.
The beginning quilting class will teach the basics of piecing, appliqu, quilting and finishing techniques while making a small quilt. Tuition is $32 and instructor is Darlene Gauthier.
