Valentine dinner

RUMFORD – There will be a special Valentine’s Day dinner at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 14, at SeniorsPlus Caf, Rumford Community Center, 50 Congress St.

The menu will feature beef stroganoff, buttered noodles, baby glazed carrots, dinner roll, applesauce, cherry tart, punch and coffee, tea or milk.

A donation of $3.50 is requested of those 60 and over, their spouses, the disabled and volunteers. A $5 donation is asked of those under 60. For reservations or for more information, call Kim at 364-3572.

Welding course

MEXICO – Region 9 Learning Center, 377 River Road, will offer a course on Beginning Welding starting Monday, Feb. 14. It will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays for seven weeks at the Region 9 welding lab. Tuition is $225; lab fee; $30; text, $6. Instructor will be Pete Barlow.
