LEWISTON – Mayor Lionel C. Guay Jr. and the Lewiston Youth Advisory Council remind residents that February nominations for the “Mayor’s Citation of Excellence” are due Friday, Feb. 11.
Members of the public may submit a one-page nomination of a local middle school or high school student concerning an action or accomplishment deemed as “extraordinary” or “above and beyond.”
The action or accomplishment referred to must have occurred within the last two months, and the nominated youth must reside in Lewiston.
Following February’s selection by Guay and the council, the mayor will present the citation to the selected youth at his/her school in the latter part of the month (at the student’s home if home schooled).
