JAY – The annual “Jay Jams” Middle School Basketball Tournament is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 19-20, at Jay High School and Jay Middle School. The field includes teams from Livermore Falls, Mt. Blue, Lisbon, Boothbay, Dirigo, Hall-Dale and Winthrop. Admission is $5 for adults, and $1 for students and Seniors. There is no fee for children under 5.

Auburn Rec Women
AUBURN – Two teams reamained unbeaten last week in the Auburn Rec Women’s Slowdown Basketball League.
Old School won its third straight, a 56-27 victory over QP&S. Kati Morrell and Erin Lovely both netted 11 for the winners. Wanda MacLean (6) and Stacey Hood (5) led the losers.
Jessica Veilleux scored 16 and Laura Pate added 8 as Rec-Ing Crew went to 2-0 by knocking off Shirl’s Girls 51-19. Jen Robitaille led the Girls with 6. Kelly Brower added 5.
Young Ones beat Independent Women 37-22 as Pauline Veinote tallied 11 and Elaine Keene 6. The Women were led by Ashley Golden (8) and Loretta Martin (5).
