Lewiston – Trish Riley, director of the Governor’s Office of Health Policy, will discuss details of Dirigo Health this month as a guest on “Chip and The Chamber.” The show is aired on Great Falls TV every Wednesday at 9 p.m.
In the fall of 2003, the governor unveiled a new health care system, DirigoChoice Health Plan, with a goal of signing up 35,000 people by the end of 2005. Under the plan, individual employees share costs with both their employer and the state.
Answering questions posed by chamber President Chip Morrison, Riley will explain the logic behind the plan’s structure and what it hopes to achieve.
Also, the show’s hosts, Morrison and Toni Seger, are urging people to shake off the winter blahs by joining the Winter Walk Against Violence on Feb. 26, sponsored by the Abused Women’s Advocacy Project.
