PARIS – Students of the Month for February at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School are Dawn Buck, freshman; Tom Secore, sophomore; Tiffany Stevens, junior; and Sarah Lagasse, senior.

This is the fifth year the Norway-Paris Rotary Club has sponsored the program. Maureen Howard, director of the Community Education Exchange, is coordinator.

The program has recently become part of the character education curriculum at the school. The nomination form lists character traits from which to choose when nominating students, in addition to explaining why that student exhibits these traits.

The traits are respect, honesty, moral courage, generosity, compassion, integrity and responsibility.

The four students were praised for the positive leadership and kindness they exhibit in their classrooms, involvement in Interact Club and their sense of responsibility and conscience.

The students’ names and photos will be placed on a plaque that hangs in the hallway across from the school library. In addition, each month the students chosen have pizza with the principal, and at the end of the year all the students are honored at a Rotary breakfast.
