AUBURN – A man stabbed a half-dozen times at his Goff Street apartment early Monday remained in fair condition at a Lewiston hospital two days later.
No arrests had been made by Wednesday night in the early morning fight that left 21-year-old Michael Bailey with multiple stab wounds.
A second man hurt in the melee went to Central Maine Medical Center on Monday afternoon but later left the hospital.
He was not listed as a patient on Wednesday, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
Auburn police detectives have interviewed several potential witnesses to the stabbing, but have not charged anyone in the attack.
Investigators said earlier this week that they were getting little cooperation from witnesses and victims.
It remained unclear what led to the 2 a.m. stabbing at 120 Goff St.
