PARIS – The Oxford Hills Chapter, AARP, friends and families, will participate in a four-day, three-night trip to Halifax, Nova Scotia, July 6 to 9, to see the 2005 Nova Scotia International Tattoo.

The trip will include a ferry ride to Digby, Nova Scotia, from St. John, New Brunswick, the Fisheries Museum in Lunenburg, Peggy’s Cove, tour of Halifax, the Maritime Museum, the Citadel and a return on the Cat ferry are included. The trip will offer three breakfasts, two dinners and reserved seating for the Tattoo. The tour will leave from Oxford, and pick-up in Portland and Auburn can be arranged.

The Tattoo includes military bands, bagpipes, drums, choirs, gymnastics, dancers, military displays and competitions in a two-and-a-half-hour show that takes place in the 10,000-seat, air-conditioned Halifax Metro Centre arena.

Send a $50 deposit before March 4 made out to Walter Taft, 1024 Gore Road, Otisfield, ME 04270. The balance is to be paid before May 11. Seats are assigned in order of receipt of deposit check.
